Get 'er done early

Interesting article in the NY Times about the intersection of holiday indulgence, weight gain, and exercise. A pretty good argument for running first thing in the morning, regardless of the season. Bring on the eggnog, christmas cookies, and frigid early morning jogs!

  1. Wow, that is really interesting!! I've been running on an empty stomach every Saturday this time around. I decided that I'd start eating breakfast first around 15 miles so that means that this next long run will be my first one with breakfast. This was only looking at exercise of up to 90 minutes - it'd be interesting to know the overall impact on distance runners...
